Priyamani was born in Tamil Nadu and was brought up in Bangalore. She entered the films through Bharatiraja. She played in almost all the south Indian language films except Kannada. She also bagged the ‘Best Heroine’ award at national level recently. In a recent interview, she was asked a question as to which language she likes the most. Her immediate reply is ‘Malayalam’.
